I therefore believe there must be a corrupt file, caused by the abortion of the autosave, associated with the problematical workbook. I have also tried another version of the same workbook(slightly older, but running exactly the same VB code) & this works correctly. I have tried using the same workbook on another PC & it both loads & operates correctly. Since aborting the autosave the system will no longer load correctly giving automation errors on attempting to load the drop down menus at the start of loading in the Workbook_Open() module. The workbook being saved contains about 6 worksheets and many forms and is run under the control of menus and drop down menus created within the starting up of the workbook under - Workbook_Open(). My customer aborted an autosave as it was taking an unusually long time to complete. Running under Windows XP Home, Microsoft Office 2003.
